Who participates in the SnowSports
Consumer Panel?
Enthusiast of winter sports (skiing, snowboarding, and
snowshoeing) that are United States residents and 16
years or older that have agreed to participate in the
panel.
Do I have to pay any type of
fee to be part of the panel?
No. The SnowSports Consumer Panel will never ask you
for money to participate in the surveys. At times, your
name will be entered into drawings for valuable winter
sports products from manufacturers.
What if my e-mail address changes
but I still want to be part of the panel?
You can update or modify your registration at any time
by visiting https://resources.snowsports.org/SnowSportsPanel/accountedit.cfm
Can I sign up with a family member
from the same e-mail address?
Unfortunately, we can only accept one participant
from each e-mail
address.
What if I don’t want to
be part of the SnowSports Consumer Panel anymore?
If at any time you decide that you don’t want
to be part of the SnowSports Consumer Panel, please
visit www.snowsportspanel.com
to delete your name and any personal information from
the panel.

How does participation in the
SnowSports Consumer Panel work?
Approximately 6 to 8 times a year, we will send you
an invitation from the SnowSports Consumer Panel asking
you to participate in a survey. This invitation will
come by e-mail with a link to the survey. In addition,
you will also receive one or two reminders for each
survey.
When will I receive my first
survey to participate?
Once you register, you will receive your first survey.
What types of questions will be
asked on each survey?
The surveys will ask questions on demographics, interests
related to winter sports, participation, purchase behavior
etc. Your responses to these surveys will be used by
manufacturers to develop better products for winter
sports.
Do I have to participate every
time I receive a survey?
While it would be great if you could participate each
time you receive a survey, we understand that your time
is valuable and sometimes you can not.
How can I win prizes for participation?
Surveys that have incentives for participation will
be shown on the e-mail invitation that you receive.
The e-mail will let you know that there is an incentive
for filling out the survey. After the survey is completed
your name can be entered into a drawing for winter sports
products from
manufacturers.
How long will it take to complete
each survey I receive?
Each survey that you receive will take approximately
10 minutes to fill out depending on the speed of your
Internet connection.
What if I start the survey and
can’t finish it?
If you only complete half of the survey, you can come
back at a later time and complete the survey by starting
where you left off. Simply click the link for the survey
and it will take you to your earlier stopping point
provided
the survey is still open.
Who conducts the SnowSports Consumer
Panel?
The panel is conducted by SnowSports Industries America
(SIA), the non-profit U.S. snow sports products trade
association owned and operated by its members to promote
non-motorized snow sports such as skiing, snowboard,
snowshoeing and their variations. The 800-member association
includes many companies whose products you are already
familiar with, such as Burton, Rossignol, Salomon, Sport
Obermeyer and many more.
